Availability at Lake Melliant (Carp fishing lake in France)

Lake Melliant had a major overhaul in 2013 with all the platforms replaced and a significant addition of new fish.  Chalet Lake also got similar treatment over the winter of 2013 and has been ready for action since the Spring of 2014.

Carp Fishing in France

Price per week for whole lake, is for exclusive use of the whole lake for parties of up to six anglers starting 3pm on the first Saturday and leaving 11am the following Saturday.

We will only let Lake Meillant on a ‘full team’ and ‘by the week’ basis, except that we will consider bookings of smaller numbers of anglers on a last minute basis (up to two weeks before the week in question) if there are weeks that have not been taken.

At Chalet Lake we generally let the lake to a single group of up to six anglers. However, outside peak season (May to mid June, September to Mid October) we will let to smaller teams of four at a 25% discount to the full price.

If you are an even smaller team and there are weeks that are not let at either Lake Meillant or Chalet Lake two weeks before the week in question, then it would be worth calling us to discuss.

Additionally, there is a £150 per week Key Deposit for parties taking the whole lake and £50 per head for smaller parties booking by rod.

The Key Deposit covers three things, firstly that you arrive at 3pm or afterwards local time on the first Saturday of your trip and that you do leave by 11am the following Saturday. Secondly that the place is left clean and tidy. And thirdly, that the Key is returned to me.

If you would like to make a booking, please send your contact details, including address, phone and email address.  We will need a deposit of £500 (or half the total fee), whichever is less to secure your week. The balance plus Key Deposit is payable eight weeks before you go.

If you are booking a holiday which is less than 8 weeks away, then please pay the full amount at the outset.
